I hate to rehash this but… Hey, does anyone else think that it is possible to hate Kanye for the shitty thing he did and to hate Chris Brown 10000x more for the extremely evil and ultra-shitty thing he did to Rihanna? You people act like you have to support one and hate the other, and there are no other possible options, and I gotta say, that’s some stupid messed up logic right there.

Here’s the thing: I’m a Kanye fan. His stupidity cracks me up. But just because I love his music and enjoy his insanity verily does not mean I excuse his extremely rude and selfish behavior on the VMAs. I am not a Taylor Swift fan at all, don’t even know a single one of her songs — but that’s not the point. Is it true that Beyonce’s video was one of the best music videos of all time? OF COURSE IT WAS/IS. That’s not even a question. But did he have to go on stage and interrupt Taylor while she was still in the middle of her fucking speech? NO. He should have tweeted that shit like the rest of us if he was that mad. I mean, even Beyonce, who lost the damn award that she deserved, was able to hold her incredulity, so why couldn’t he? I’m not asking him to restrain himself and act like a decent and mature human being all the time — I’ve got to have my lols too — but he should save his tomfoolery for the after-party. THAT’S ALL I ASK.

But why people continue to compare his shittiness with Chris Brown’s shittiness is baffling. Chris Brown’s shittiness is way, way, way beyond that of Kanye’s. Chris Brown is scum. Even if I were a fan of his — which I was not and never will be, no matter how good “Forever” was — I couldn’t support his woman-beating, arrogant self, in any way, shape, or form. Not only did he put Rihanna in the hospital (AND WE HAVE ALL SEEN THOSE TERRIBLE PICTURES, IT WAS NOT LIKE SHE HAD A TINY SCRATCH ON HER CHIN) but he has proven to the world that he is without remorse and unapologetic. So much so that he throws a tantrum whenever people dare to allude to it, or when people don’t want to throw their panties at him. Like we owe it to him to continue buying his music and attending his concerts. Oh wait — there are plenty of fans who do! Those people act like he’s a fucking martyr and the world is unfairly hating on him. He should be thankful that he’s not in prison — WHERE HE BELONGS. His actions were, and continue to be, absolutely unacceptable. His fans should be ashamed for giving him money, love, and attention. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you people? If Chris Brown could do what he did to Rihanna, who is WAY more famous, richer, and more powerful than he could ever hope to be, what makes you think he would respect you and not hit you?

So in short: STOP making excuses for Chris Brown’s behavior, because there are no possible excuses to justify or rationalize anything he did. But also STOP making excuses for Kanye’s behavior. You know he was wrong for his actions even if his opinion was something you agreed with (and goodness knows I agree with his opinion). I still like Kanye, but why support either of these trifling-ass males? Instead of supporting males, their stupidity, and their disrespect for the bodies, minds, and feelings of women and girls, SUPPORT WOMEN, their struggles against the patriarchy, and their inalienable right to not have their thunder stolen by an immature idiot in front of millions of people or to be beat the fuck up by goddamn Chris Brown.

Viva Rihanna! Viva Beyonce! And yes, viva Taylor Swift!
