Oh… I finally got my second optical drive, which can also play Blu-ray. (There was a Newegg deal.) So should I switch my LOST Complete Collection order from DVD to Blu-ray? But then I can only watch it on my computer. Then again, my very first DVD player was on the computer also. I didn’t get a DVD player fit for TV consumption until three or four years later.
The Blu-ray edition is much more expensive, but with selling my previous Lost seasons and using all the Amazon gift certificates I am able to acquire by July or August, should knock it down so I only pay about fifty dollars. (The Blu-ray Complete Collection costs $194.99 on Amazon.) If I just stick with the DVD Complete Collection, I pretty much pay zero.
Things to consider:
1) When will Blu-ray supersede DVD?
2) When will Blu-ray be superseded?
3) Will the Blu-ray logo be a part of the box/packaging? Because that’s the most important and only criteria I will take into account in my decision, therefore making the aforementioned meaningless.
